Season 2 of Young Wallander, featuring the early adventures of fictional Swedish policeman Kurt Wallander, is now playing on Netflix.
Mystery fans know Wallander as the creation of Swedish author Henning Mankell, who passed away in 2015. The Netflix original series explores Wallander’s life as a recently graduated police officer, before the events portrayed in Mankell’s books.
Netflix describes Young Wallander as an edgy, modern story that “focuses on the formative experiences – professional and personal – faced by Kurt.” The series stars Adam Pålsson in the lead role and has a British and Swedish cast.
Season 1 premiered on September 3, 2020, and Season 2 premiered on February 17, 2022. Each season has six episodes.
