Who was J.R.R. Tolkien?
J.R.R. Tolkien (1892-1973) was an English writer, poet, philologist, and university professor. He is best known for his literary works, particularly “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings,” which are considered classics of the fantasy genre.
Tolkien was born in South Africa, but he moved to England with his family when he was three years old.
