“Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” – released on May 25, 1983 – marked the third and final chapter of the original Star Wars trilogy. Directed by Richard Marquand, the film follows the epic struggle of the Rebel Alliance as they battle against the evil Galactic Empire, led by the ruthless Emperor Palpatine and his menacing henchman, Darth Vader.
The film opens with Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo embarking on a daring mission to rescue Han Solo from the clutches of the gangster Jabba the Hutt, who has imprisoned the smuggler in carbonite.
One of the standout elements of “Return of the Jedi” is the final confrontation between Luke and Vader.
Tickets for screenings at select theaters across the country from April 28 to May 4 are now available for advance purchase at sites like Fandango, AMC, Regal and more.
