More than a year after closing due to the Coronavirus pandemic, many of Great Britain’s palaces and royal gardens are reopening to tourists this week. Reserve tickets are required. Here are the openings.
- Windsor Castle, home to Queen Elizabeth and 900 years of royal history, reopens to tourists on Monday, May 17, 2021. For tickets or more details, visit: Windsor Castle Tickets

- Edinburgh Castle in Scotland has been partially open to tourists since August 1 and remains so now. The Laich Hall, anti-chamber and Mary Room are open, the rest of the palace remains closed for now. For tickets or more details, visit: : Edinburgh Castle Tickets
- The Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queen’s official residence in Edinburgh and home to Scottish royal history, is currently open throughout the year. For tickets or more details, visit: : Palace of Holyroodhouse Tickets
