The Royal Family posted Queen Elizabeth’s annual Christmas Broadcast today.
The first Christmas Broadcast was delivered by George V in 1932 and since then has evolved into an important part of the Christmas Day celebrations for many in Britain and around the world. This year, Queen Elizabeth made the broadcast at Windsor Castle, where she and Prince Philip have spent much of the year isolating amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
“In the United Kingdom and around the world, people have risen magnificently to the challenges of the year, and I am so proud and moved by this quiet, indomitable spirit.” the Queen said.
