Several of HBO’s most popular shows still require a paid subscription. These include Game of Thrones, Westworld, Euphoria and Chernobyl.
HBO Now is HBO’s online streaming service, regularly priced at $14.99 per month. You can get a 7-day free trial at hbonow.com. Subscribing will give you access to all of HBO’s programmming.
In announcing the free special, HBO said it wants “to provide some entertainment relief for those doing their part to keep everyone safe and healthy in this time of social isolation.”
In addition to being available via HBO Now or HBO Go, the nearly 500 hours of free programming also will be coming to the platforms of participating U.S. pay-TV providers within the next several days, HBO said.
