Walt Disney World reopened its Florida theme parks Saturday, July 11 with a new ticketing and reservation system.
“The phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks begins this Saturday with Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, followed July 15 by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios,” Disney announced on the Disney Blog.
“Beginning July 9, we will resume ticket sales and Disney Resort hotel bookings for 2020. Guests will be able to purchase new tickets and plan future visits throughout this year with the Disney Park Pass system, which we are using to help manage attendance during this reopening period.”
You can start planning a visit by finding out what dates are available for your theme park at: Disney World Availability Calendar
You then make a reservation with the online reservation tool at: Disney Park Pass System From there click on Make A Disney Park Pass Reservation.
“Because theme park capacity will be significantly limited as we welcome guests back to the magic, we will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system that will require all guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance,” Disney said.
In addition, “guests 2 years of age and older will be required to wear appropriate face coverings in theme parks and common areas of resort hotels. All guests will also undergo temperature screenings prior to entering a theme park; cast members will also have temperature checks.”
The new Disney Park Pass System will operate through disneyworld.com.
